Food FInds

Some of my favorite Food Finds for this week to help keep us on track.

A new Brand of Popcorn

I'm sure that at this stage most of us know about the 15g Manhattan popcorn bags for 2 propoints and the normal size bag for 4 propoints.  Well this brand of Metcalfe popcorn is 25g for 3 propoints, so really good value.  Now there not just your average salted popcorn either.

There Heat & Sweet popcorn which is a chili flavour, now I was not mad gone on this flavour but there is a sweet and salty flavour and I loved them and I actually felt like I was getting value for propoints.

There is also  chocolate covered popcorn and there 6 propoints per bag, but if it meant that you were getting your salty and sugary fix all at the same time, maybe they would be worth your while.

I bought mine in Superquinn on the crisps and popcorn aisle.

Tilda Rice have a new range of children's rice that are microwavable and portioned into the little pouches, so no trying to divide the rice between 2, it's already done for you.  They have a few varieties, sweet curry, cheese & tomato, sunshine vegetable and sweet vegetable & wholegrain.

There available in supermarkets and are E1.49 but I bought mine in the Euro Shop and it was 2 for E1.49 do keep your eyes open.

Spiegals, the company that brought us Skinny Sambo's for 2 propoints are now doing mini bagel's.  There quite small and each one is 3 propoints but for 2 of them which would then make it bigger than a regular size bagel is 5 propoints.  I was a bit dissappointed because I thought that they were 2 propoints each, then I tasted them and it was the first time in a long while where I actually felt like I was eating a bagel.  I loved them, there really delicious.  So if you eat with your eyes aswel as your taste buds, give these a try.

I got these also in Superquinn and I hadn't seen them before.  They were E2.50 and I have not tasted them yet, but if your the type of person that needs to have the exact number written on pack of your chocolate, maybe these will help you.  Plus I do love a Jaffa Cake.

Enjoy the Niptuck way, so you don't have to!

  2. The only places that I can't get the fresh and sour cream are dunnes stores or tesco, now not all of them have them but if you ask, they may start to stock them. No I haven't heard of fat free, I know the lighter than light one is pretty low and doesn't taste so bad at all. I hope this helps.

  4. Sorry for the late reply, thank you and I'm so glad you like the blog. Firstly, it's around this time within the 1st 12 weeks were you get a really difficult week, it's because of habits. If you have fallen off the wagon, forget about it, feeling bad about it will only make it worse, it's gone start fresh. Plan ahead. If your still on the wagon, plan a treat for yourself that's non food related just something small and if you really need a treat, what do you really want and then see if there is something you want that's portion controlled and have it. Weightwatchers is about moderation not deprivation, it's a lifestyle change not a diet, therefore if your eating plain supposed diet food it will be difficult. Make sure your eating your propoints and that your having substantial meals so that you are fuller for longer. I hope this helps
