Apple Cake, Tart, Pie
When i think of Apple Tart i think of a light, fluffy base, layered with apples and topped with a crumble like sponge. Then you remember Weight Watchers and your ideas start to sink because to get an apple tart like that will usually cost you at near enough to half of your daily propoints allowance right?
Then you realize that in order to achieve a cake with that texture, you actually need to be quite a good baker right? Wrong.
This pure decadent Apple Tart will cost you 3 Weight watchers Propoints, yes 3 and even better, this is so quick and simple you will not believe it.

Serves 10
Ingredients
1 Pack of Odlums Cake Mix (you will have 100g left over)
1 Egg White
120mls (Approx) of 7 Up Free
2 Tbl of Sweetener
5 Small apples of choice Peeled and sliced thinly
1 Tbl of Cinnamon
5 measured Tbl of Flora ProActive melted
Spray Oil
Directions
Preheat the oven to gas mark 5.
Weigh out 200g of the Odlums Cake Mix, this will be half the pack. Mix the egg white and 7Up Free together and slowly start to pour it a little at a time and keep stirring until the mixture comes together. You may not need all of the 7 Up but you want to make a batter with it.
Mist a baking stray with spray oil ensuring that you get the edges and the bottom. Pour the mix onto the baking tray.
Mix the sweetener and the cinnamon into the apples, then layer the apples over the mix. Ensuring that you cover all of the base and their will be enough to make quite a deep apple layer.
Take 100g of the dry mix, approx half of what remains and sprinkle it all over the apples. Melt the Flora in the microwave and then pour it over as much of the topping as you can. The amount will be plenty.
Place in the oven and cook for 45 minutes or until the topping starts to turn golden.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
Enjoy the Niptuck way, so you don't have to!
Absolutely gorgeous!!

can you tell me the reason behind using the 7up free in the recipes? i assume its rather than using sugar?
Many Thanks
Hi, to be honest, I'm not sure but I think it's to do with a carbonated drink gives the same affect of oil and eggs. I know it's not a great option but it's weightwatchers friendly. This is actually a really lovely dessert
