Pancake Toppings

What goes on yours?

It's Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Tuesday or Fat Tuesdays in some countries.  However, it's not just the pancakes that might cost you, it's what you put on top of them that counts aswel.

Here is some of what I think are good value pancake toppings.

Fresh Fruit

Top your pancakes with some fresh berries, add a little sweetness if you want with some Canderell and enjoy and it wont cost you anything.

Peanut Butter

Tesco do a reduced fat peanut butter, it works out at 2 Propoints per Tbl, which is 1 Propoint less than a normal Tbl of peanut butter and then add some fresh fruit.

Add this ontop of the peanut butter and it would be gorgeous and again this wont cost you anything.  Instead you could add the jam and sprinkle some coconut flakes on top.

Chocolate Phily

Spread some of this love on your pancake, each mini tub will cost you 2 Propoints and I would get 2 pancakes out of each tub, add sliced banana and it's yum.

Butter

This is the closest thing to real butter that I have ever had, in fact I am kinda in love with this butter at the minute.  This melts so deliciously and each 10g will cost you 1 Propoints and it's well worth it.

Sugar

Take you hot pancake, spread with Connacht Gold Low fat butter and then sprinkle this.  It feels like sugar and it really does feel like sugar.  Roll it up and you have one divine pancake.

These are one from the archives but they are delicious.  Theses are free on Simple Start and you will get about 7 small pancakes from this.  There very filling but really tasty.

Happy Pancake Tuesday everyone.

Enjoy the Niptuck way, so you don't have to!
