Double Bacon Cheese Burger

Plates from www.redcandy.co.uk
Double burger with streaky bacon, gherkins, jalepenos and topped with melted cheese.
Yes I'm aware that our beautiful sunshine has gone on holidays from us, but was it not beautiful while it was here.  It was really like being away somewhere different on holidays.  I was away camping for a few day with my best friends from Canada and it was glorious.

Yes Canadians can BBQ and we had it every night, from fish to burgers to chicken and vegetable skewers to BBQ bananas and chocolate.

Sunset in Roscommon last week

With such great memories, I have decided to live in hope that the sun will come back to us, seen as we are such an appreciative and captive audience.  Therefore, my summer mood has not left me.

I have made these burgers on the grill and they are gorgeous.  I had mine with Spicy Butternut Squash Chips and it was delicious.  This is really useful for a quick weeknight meal, as you have it on the table in 30 minutes and it's child friendly.

The plate that I'm using in the above pictures are from www.redcandy.co.uk and it was perfect for camping, as it is a camping plate but it is a proper portioned size plate.

If you notice some of the camping plates are generally huge and we usually eat with our eyes.  So if your looking for good portion sized plate head on over to their site and have a look.

The burgers are meat free but the rest is not, if you are on a meat free plan just change things up to suit your requirements.
