Some Weight Watchers Food Finds

Well there I was, my 15 minutes of fame.

I had 3 days of being a nervous wreck and 2 sleepless nights but it was worth it.

You know it actually crossed my mind, "does the camera really add on 10 pounds" because being a Weight Watchers that's a dress size, and once a Weight Watcher always one right?

I'm actually very pleased with it, still quite shocked at looking at myself on a newspaper stand but I'm quite proud that I'm on it because I achieved something that I attempted for nobody else, it was just for my benefit and I'm really feeling that benefit.

I'm really overwhelmed by the response I received from other people and not just people on the program, considering, I think that my Dad told every shop keeper within a 5 mile radius of my house that I was his daughter.

People have been really kind and also shared their own stories with me.  I feel that It was easier to share my story when the hard part was behind me and I was reflecting on it rather than facing it, so for people to share the challenge ahead of them is extremely brave.

Reading both John Cahill and Siobhan Hooban's stories was so inspiring.  We all did the photo shoot together and they were so nice, both so determined, however, I think It was possibly nerves but we didn't really get into conversation about our journeys, It could also have been because we were so excited.

I would like to point out at this stage that I am not a great cook,  nor writer, speller or achiever for that matter.  This was the one thing that I succeeded at beyond mine or anyone else's expectations.

The cooking got better because really it could not get any worse, and I just started to learn what I liked and how to make food that I choose to eat that fits into my lifestyle.
All the other stuff, well one step at a time.

This blog post is just highlighting a couple of offers and new products out at the moment to keep us all on track.  I was up 3.5 pound after Christmas, so we all have work to do.

The other reason is that  I have not cooked over the last couple of days because I could not concentrate long enough to cook anything edible.

There is another great blog out there at the moment, Zoe is also on a weight loss journey using Weight Watchers and in this post Zoe has pro pointed all of the recipes from the Hairy Dieters book.

I have to say the recipes are gorgeous and just last week I posted the Hairy Dieters Lasagne which is 7 Propoints, but Zoe has pro pointed the entire book.  So If your looking for the propoints head on over to www.59lbstogo.blogspot.ie

These are new out, I bought them in Superquinn but they are also available in Supervalu.  There currently on sale for E1.00.  They are available in white, white seeded or wholegrain and their delicious and work out at only 3 Weight Watchers Propoints each.

Theses are the exact same as the Pat the Baker Slimbo's but there only 2 Weight Watchers Propoints and they are very nice.  You can buy these in Dunnes Stores, which is where I bought them for E1.20 and there are 4 in a pack.  So If you cannot find the Slimbo's near you, these might be available.

Oodles of Noodles

These are available in Mr. Price, Spar and some Mace shops.  Apparently, these are really tasty and each block works out at 2 Weight Watchers Propoints, so If noodles are your cup of tea, try Oodles of Noodles. I'm not sure of the picture, so as soon as I get my hands on some of these I will update this post.

The hunt for Greek Yogurt

I got these today in Dunnes Stores.  There on special for E1.20 and each little pot has a Propoints value of 1.  I'm not sure if they will work for baking but as soon as I figure it out, Ill let you know.

P.s. I got to choose what I would like to take home from the shoot, clothes wise, I picked the biker jacket because I just fell in love with it and their was a gorgeous handbag that I picked aswel but it didn't make it into any of the photo's.

Enjoy the Niptuck way, so you don't have to!

    1. The propoints for oodles of noodles for a cooked serving is 2 propoints. I have just rechecked it and I'm happy to say that it's still the same.
