I have long spoken about my addiction to Pepsi max, well it spans about 20 years. I love it, cool, refreshing and a good caffeine hit.
I dont drink tea or coffee, mainly Pepsi max.
My car is usually littered with empty bottles of Pepsi max and my friends would testify that I am an addict to it.
Had I have bought shares into the company with the amount of money I spent drinking it, I would be a very rich woman now, alas, I drank it.
Then 2 weeks ago, I got really sick in work, really bad pain s in my stomach and I start vomiting.
I had previously had an ulcer and I knew it was back. By that evening, I was so sick, and driving to a late night doctor, vomiting out my car door was the longest drive if my life.
It was back with a bang, and I was given a huge dose of nexium.
That day I stopped drinking fizzy drinks and today, my 2 week anniversary and I'm still Pepsi max free.
The replacement is My Wadi summer fruits or just plain water.
I even start having a cup of coffee in the mornings, just to be grown up.
I did really well, then day 8 came and I actually had a really bad headache and I wanted nothing more than a can of ice cold Pepsi max but I really pushed through and day 14 and I'm still off it.
People say you can't lose weight drinking diet drinks, well I did, in fact I survived on it, not that I would recommend it but I did do it.
I'm not ready to divulge how much of it that I used to drink, just in case I go back on it, but I am trying really hard not to.
I even survived my holiday over to Germany where they have carbonated water and any juice you can think of.
Watching myself spew Pepsi max all over the street from my car seat definitely helped but I think it was more to do with, I got sick of people saying " do you drink that much fizzy drinks" yes I do now leave me alone.
Here's hoping that this is goodbye to another of my long standing addictions, I'm still on shaky legs but I'm quite proud that in even at this stage.
Aufweder Sehn Pepsi max.
Enjoy the Niptuck way, so you don't have to!
