St Patrick's Day

St Patrick's Day

So for this week i will be cooking things all things Irish and we have some great food here in Ireland.  From having excellent farming husbandry to moist fertile soil.  Our food and producers are world class though sometimes forgotten.

We also have some great music and this is my second greatest passion.  So for each recipe that i add this week i will also link it to some fine Irish music that reminds me of the food im eating.  Kind of random i know but these are my passions.

Today for Irish Stew its Thin Lizzy, Dancing in the Moonlight however i was undecided because stew also reminds me of Thin Lizzy's Dont belive a word.  If your a novice to either of these i recommend that you cook the stew and google these songs and you will not be let down.

You see i dont think i ever really think about being Irish until around this time of the year but when i do think about it, i usually think of some of the best days of my life, like being at Slane Castle for Foo Fighters and The Red Hot Chilis and inbetween bands the match was playing and the crowd start singing "My Lovely Horse" from Fr. Ted.

So not to bore you any longer i will stop there, but i hope that you take the time to make the Irish Stew Niptuck style with Lizzy playing in the background.

I hope you all enjoy the run up to St. Patrick's Day whatever your all doing but enjoy it the Niptuck way.
